2019 General Election: Col Ogbebor Caution Politicians, Leaders, on truncating Democracy.

Col Paul Ogbebor (rtd) a Civil war veteran, has warned political groups and its followers against palpable words that are capable of causing anarchy in the Democratic dispensation as Nigerians prepares to elect new leaders ahead of the general election.
Ogbebor who gave the warning during a reception party organized in his honour by his children recently in Benin City, expressed support for the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He urged Candidates of the various political parties to restrain themselves from provocative statements that can undermine the unity of Nigeria he fought for during the Civil war between 1967 and 1970.
According to him, "politicians and their supporters must shun acts that can truncate democracy in Nigeria which living and fallen heroes and fellow patriots laboured for".
He also commended Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki for prudent management of resources, thereby enhancing the fortunes of the State.

He further stressed that Obaseki reformation programs, has rekindled the hopes of the citizenry who had undergone painful socioeconomic pressures of life beyond the reach of reasons and concerns for decency in society.
