Democratic enthusiasts, Voters and Supporters of Good Governance, love it, when a Principal actor delivers the right notch, as a dividend of Democracy through people-

focused Policies.

To trust a Goverment of the day, there are some significant policies that can produce such massive Supports.

Institutional reforms, sustainability, ability to manage lean resources, credibility as well as ability to attract investors, are some of this Administration's Hallmarks identified that had earned such Supports across Board.

Governor Godwin Obaseki's pedegrees rose to stadom in Edo State, when he was addressed as the "Brain Box" that initiated some of the policies of his immediate Predessessor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, particularly, as the Head of the Economic team who worked probono for years in Comrade Adams Oshiomhole's Regime.

OBASEKI as a Committed servant from the Democratic academy, emerged onto the big stage with the recommendation of his Predessessor as the Best hand   to sustain and improve on some of his policies and  fans have been loving it.

Since then, he has proved to be the seemly personality to trust in managing the affair of the state, despite calls from oppositions to unseat him.

He is only three and a half years, but has now become one of the main names across the thirty Six States of the Federation who is seen by his admirers to have exhibited beyond expectations in his almost ending first tenure of four years in office.

According to opinion pool conducted by Credible institutions, OBASEKI has jumped ahead of most Governors in the pecking order.

Former PDP, House of Assembly Candidate, Honorable Eghosa Agbonifo had opened a discussion of some of the Governors' achievements with our Correspondent and heaped praises on him.

Speaking during the exclusive Chat, Hon Agbonifo discussed some of the potentials and qualities the Governor has, noting, “Obaseki is a cold-hearted killer, a great finisher".

Continuing, Hon Agbonifo said,"Just  look at his Performances, and watch him from when he started, he has changed the narratives in Political Space, infrastructure, and social developments in the state.

"He’s just doing it on a different pitch and in a bigger stage , with more people watching. He’s got all the same habits.

"He’s a great Governor and what I also love about him is his demeanour, his character".

"No  matter the stage, same face, same expression, same way he carries himself. He knows he’s good enough". 

The level of goals achieved in the past three and a half years highlight the frightening Potentials and how good he is.

According to him, between now and 2024 when he will complete his second term of four years, he will channel time, energy and resources towards growing the economy, fighting poverty, improving access to quality education, healthcare and enhancing productivity, among others.

Recall that, from time to time, the priority areas of this present administration had been geared towards dictating people-focused policy directions in the past few years.

Governor Obaseki has been able to Expand businesses, entrepreneurship and industrialisation growths; while also expanding accesses to quality education, affordable healthcare and productivity of Edo People; by building a system to fight thuggery, reckless Spendings, as well as improving governance and creating social cohesion, hence improving the state’s security.

The Governor had also made efforts to sustain Edo State’s position as a profitable investment destination with unequalled improvements in all sectors.

A large market and flexible Internally Generated Revenue system was introduced to stop individuals from lining their Pockets, whilst, areas of focus availed investors from various countries to explore.

The quality of his sterling Performances is there for all to see and with him doing so well at such a stage, there is only room for improvement which isn’t just good for Edo State, but also for the Country, and hopefully OBASEKI can shine for both state and country when re-elected come September 19 2020.

Probably, yeah, but the great Political players, when they’re ready, they’re ready. They don’t care about negative criticisms.

Governor Obaseki represents a modest dimension to Governance, influencing youths engagement, Proitizing the people's interest in his overall discharge of duty.

He’s a natural goalscorer who is going to score loads and loads of same when re-elected.

From the clear cut  Performances of the incumbent Governor, it would be expected that massive turnout of voters would consolidated his reelection at every polling centers to cast their vote towards ensuring continuity.

According to "THE BULLETS OF THE HARMLESS RABBITS MEDIA TEAM" BHR, the new development is the conspiracy between Comarade Adams Oshiomhole & his Kogi Governor to deliver 500 units of fake Police uniforms to Oshiomhole in Iyamho from Lokoja.

It was revealed that, the Kogi State Deputy Governor, Edward Onoja was mandated to handle and deliver the arrangement between the interest groups

It was gathered that,the list of thugs comprising those from Ebiras and the Igalas are currently being compiled and  harmonized at the Government House, Lokoja on the instruction of the governor, despite been unhappy that Ahmed Attah visited Oshiomhole without seeking permissions from him.

The media group also speculated that, Fifteen Million Naira, 15Million, was released by the Governor to prosecute their game plans.

It noted that, the said amount realeased was allocated for the preparion of charms for those they have assigned to carry out the unholy act on September 19 Gubernatorial Election.

Their revelations read as part: "Some weeks ago, the state governor released the sum of N15m for preparing charms for the boys".

"Just  when the boys were happy that they have some money to play with, a hilux pickup brought in one babalawo to prepare the charms, while the boys were then forced to relinquish the N15m to the arranged witchdoctor".

"The  boys saw it as 'using the right hand to give and then collecting it back with the left hand. They were very unhappy even though they were later compensated with a token from the N15m!"

However, Ahmed Attah (Amedee) who is billed to return to Oshiomhole soon has canceled the visit, but the source maintained that he would still send his boys to Edo for the evil enterprise.

Continuing, they noted that, efforts are on the pipeline to convey profiles of the assistant

"According to them,"Our snooping rabbits in Lokoja are compiling the complete profiles of all the thug that would be sent to Edo".

"We  shall make them available to Edo people so we can prepare for them".

"Just  like how the Akwa Ibom governor ensured that 40 of the thugs Oshiomhole sent to Akwa Ibom in 2019 were liquidated and never made it back to life, we shall provide all the information on the identities, movements, timings and modus operandi of these Kogi thugs".

A top Goverment official who spoke on anonymity said, The counter operations to liquidate the thug by the local community boys would be suggested to the appropriate quarters at the right time.

"But let's wait for them to come in first. We are also working to ensure the genuine security officers are properly profiled and identified for harmonious working with our communities anti-rigging squads.

"We have it on good authority that the genuine security officers will never partake in the evil rigging plots. Our people should cooperate with, and work with them to maintain law & order during the election.

"Any uniformed man that is involved in illegal, criminal activities is a Fake Oshiomhole Officer (FOO). We shall make sure such FOO must not leave the community alive",he explained

Preliminary investigations have it that, old model Toyota land cruisers and old Sequoia jeeps are being prepared for their use by the Conspirators of those assigned thugs.

"Their modus operandi has been discussed and it is already in our custody", the Source stated.

However, Governor Godwin Obaseki in a press released through his Deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu, recently notified the public of the influx of unknow faces, said to be assasins in the state.

He explained that, through the security network and intelligent gathering from the Operative, such information was availed the Government to enable them stage a counter projections and sterm-off elements who are hell bent on distruting the election.

Edo 2020: Security operatives foil attack on Obaseki's convoy

Security operatives on Thursday foiled an attack on Governor Godwin Obaseki's convoy in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

The incident occurred in Ward 10, Apana, where the former national Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, hails from and votes.

The thugs were allegedly dislodged by a combined team of security personnel and vigilante groups, who repelled their gunshots while the state Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu gave them a hot chase.

Shaibu, in a rare show of bravery, jumped out of his Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), to challenge the thugs, stunning members of the campaign team including Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, the former Chief of Staff to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.

The pandemonium caused by the gunshots and the hurling of stones stalled the governor's convoy temporarily before the Ward-to-Ward campaign train berthed at Adams Oshiomhole's corridor at Apana Market Square in Ward 10.

Recall that the PDP campaign council had suspended its Ward-to-Ward rally earlier scheduled for 10th and 11th of August 2020 in the area, due to security reports of planned attack on the Governor and PDP campaign team.

A female police personnel, who was caught recording the footage of the foiled attack, got a close shave with death while a crowd of PDP supporters including women and youths were unmoved despite the hot exchange.

Addressing members of PDP and supporters at Apana Village Square on Thursday afternoon, Obaseki recalled several attempts by Oshiomhole, the former governor of the state to scuttle his re-election efforts through violent means.

He said the forthcoming poll would determine who will take charge of the levers of power in Edo politics.

The Governor vowed not to succumb to the antics of some members of the main opposition party in the state to plunge the state into chaos, which could result in the postponement of the election.

"As we were coming here (Village Square in Apana), you heard what happened. They went to hire thugs and began to shoot to prevent us from coming here. On September 19, 2020, use your Permanent Voter Card (PVC) to ‘pepper them’.

“Ward 10 is a special ward. This election is special. It will show who is in charge of politics in Edo State. For all my eight years in Government, you know what I did for Comrade Oshiomhole. He said it with his mouth. I supported him to be the Governor. I raised funds for him. I worked for him and Edo State for eight years without receiving a dime,” he said.

 Edo Govt busts child-selling syndicate in Benin, recovers week-old baby

The Edo State Government has uncovered a baby-selling syndicate operating between Benin City and Anambra State, rescuing a one-week-old baby who was sold for over N300, 000.

Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Yinka Omorogbe, who disclosed this to journalists in Benin City, said the traffickers have been arrested and charged to court.

According to her, “The investigation unit of the Edo State Task Force Against Human Trafficking on the 5th of August, 2020 made a breakthrough, uncovering a baby-selling syndicate with baby factories in Edo State, Anambra and other parts of the county.

“Upon arrest of one of the accomplices in Edo State, she confessed and mentioned the name of a woman who is resident in Anambra State, where she operates the baby factory. The woman, in Anambra, upon further interrogation told the operatives that the baby in question is at the clinic with the mother.

“The woman and her daughter led the operatives to the purported clinic where the mother and the child were recovered and the acclaimed nurse who delivered the girl was arrested.”

Prof Omorogbe continued:  “In the course of the operation, we discovered that a young girl who delivered a baby boy on Tuesday 28th of July, 2020, had her baby sold the following day with a promise to give her N300, 000 as her share from the sale of her baby; she was found in the house with another lady who is pregnant and about to deliver and could not give a satisfactory explanation of her living in the house.”
