Gully Erosion Sacks Divisional Police
station in Edo
The
divisional police Station established in the housing estate Iguosa community,
Ovia north east council Edo state, has been dismissed by furrows of water wearing
away the community and causing panic among dwellers.
The life threatening
three kilometers wide erosion which has wrecked havoc in the community have
been attributed to an alleged negligence on the part of the state government
with various promises and calls by inhabitants to put a palliative measure yielding
no results.
The gully erosion
in the last few months has continued to render some residence of the community
homeless with plea for a palliative falling on deaf ears.
The momentum
plea for government attention was further stressed by some concerned
inhabitants who expressed worries as the rain sets in
