COVID-19: Chinamoon Solicits Support For Gov Obaseki's strict compliance directives

The damage caused by the Second wave of COVID-19 Pandemic in Edo State has become a source of Concern to Prince Charles Uyiekpen, Popularly known as Chinamoon.

With the recent surge in the state now declared above a significant level in the last 72-hour, Chinamoon is of the view that people must now adhere strictly to the Compliance directives of the state Governor, Godwin Obaseki.

Chinamoon who was reacting to the 59 new cases recorded in the last 72- hour in the state while Speaking on the need to adhere to government directives with Newsmen, frowned at people refusing to wear face masks and observe other COVID-19 protocols.

Chinamoon said, “with the level of deaths ascribed to COVID-19 in the state, you don't even need anybody to tell us to adjust our social lifestyle”.

He maintained that, the best preventive measure is to abstain from public gathering and observe all rules necessary to avoid its stings.

While commending Governor Godwin Obaseki for his proactive steps, he admonished his climes, and members of the larger society to support every step taken by the authority to abate more COVID-19 casualties in the state

“Let us all join hands with our Governor in the fight against COVID-19. As a people the first option is to comply with the rule of the game and thereafter spread it to our Local communities that COVID-19 is real”, he explained.

Recall that, In a recent development, Governor Obaseki rallied security Agencies in the state to mobilize its Operatives on enforcement of COVID-19 protocols

The governor said this after a closed-door meeting with heads of security agencies in the state.

He also said the state government is working with the new security chiefs to develop proactive steps to tackle crime in the state.
