EDO NEURO PSYCHIATRIC CMD PLEDGES SUPPORT
AGAINST CORRUPT PRACTICES

The Edo
State Chief Medical Director of Neuro-psychiatric Hospital, Dr. Sunday Osasu
has pledged to shore up the fight against corrupt practices in the state to
ensure a corruption free society that will usher in development.
Dr. Osasu
gave the assurance when he played host to the State Commissioner, Independent
Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission on the occasion of its Inauguration of Anti
Corruption and Transparency Unit, ACTU, of the Federal Neuro psychiatric
Hospital, FNPH, held in Benin City.
Osasu
commended ICPC when he spoke shortly after the inauguration of the ACTU branch
of the commission in the state that in such a time when the Federal Government
has done all within its purview to eradicate corrupt practices that have
bedeviled the economy which he noted it was a sign of good things to come.
“I
appreciate the establishment of ACTU in the FNPH branch, because corruption is
something every Nigerians should fight because of its various adverse side
effects on the populace of the country. We are aware that ICPC is a statutory
body meant to fight the scourge in the public civil services sector and
statutory by law have been empowered to set up smaller units in all its
agencies and that’s what just happened today. For me, it’s a welcome
development,” he remarked.
Earlier, the
Commissioner Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, Mr. Olukile
olusesan told the host it was imperative to strengthen their relationship to
oust all forms of corrupt practices to ensure a safer working environment for
the society at large.
