  INEC REJECTS ALI MODU SHERIFF 's FACTIONAL  PDP FLAG BEARER

The battle of who becomes the Peoples Democratic Party Flag Bearer ahead the gubernatorial election in Edo state between the  Ali Modu Sheriff's Matthew Iduoriyekemwen of the party's  divides have been put to an end following Monday July 11, deadline for the submission of Gubernatorial candidates list for the Edo 2016 Gubernatorial elections to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

It was gathered that INEC allegedly accepted only the list submitted by the Sen Markafi led faction acclaimed by the Independent body to be authentic. 

The list submitted by Ali Modu Sherrif was rejected by the commission citing not officially present  to have monitored their alleged primaries as the reason for the action

.

A source said that the Sheriff group later re-sent their list through DHL to the INEC HQ which was also rejected.

By and large, the implication of this development is that Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has  been accepted the only PDP candidate recognized by independent commission  and  other person purporting to be candidate of the party is not recognized.
