Mourinho: '4-1 defeat was harsh'
| United Boss |
Jose Mourinho the new manchester united boss has rued his first 4-1 defeat of Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai on Friday claiming that "it would have been more natural than 4-1" following the defeat
Gonzalo Castro scored twice as Dortmund recorded a 4-1 victory over the Red Devils, who were playing just their second pre-season match in contrast to Dortmund's fifth.
Mourinho told the club's official television channel that he was 'not surprised' to see his team lose, but has added that the nature of the scoreline was not a fair reflection of what occurred in China.
"I think 3-2 would have been more natural than 4-1. But Dortmund showed their quality and they showed that they are in a more advanced stage of their preparations," Mourinho told reporters.
Next up for Man United is a clash with Manchester City in Beijing on Monday.
